The surrounding area is a wine-growing region, so you will have the opportunity to get to know local tradition and the taste of wine.

Day 1 – Santiago de Chile
Reception at Santiago’s airport and transfer to selected hotel. After a short time-out you set out for a Santiago city tour, visiting the Main Square, Governmental House, Santa Lucia Hill and Central Market. Return to hotel and lodging.

Day 2 – Valparaíso and Viña del Mar (B)
Today starts with a visit to Viña del Mar, tourist and beach destination also known locally as La Ciudad Jardín (Spanish for: "The Garden City"). Then you stop in Valparaiso. The colonial city of Valparaíso presents an excellent example of late 19th-century urban and architectural development in Latin America. In its natural amphitheatre-like setting, the city is characterized by a vernacular urban fabric adapted to the hillsides that are dotted with a great variety of church spires. It contrasts with the geometrical layout utilized in the plain. The city has well preserved its interesting early industrial infrastructures, such as the numerous ‘elevators’ on the steep hillsides. One of them, Ascensor El Peral will take you to Cerro Alegre and its lovely promenade Paseo Yugoslavo. You will also visit Quinta Vergara park, Av. San Martin, Av. Peru, Sotomayor Square and finish the excursion in La Sebastiana Museum (entrance fee to Museum included). Return to Santiago and lodging.
