Grand Circle of Chile – 10 days

Chile is a land of extraordinary beauty and diversity. It stretches thousands of miles from one end to the other, from arid, rain-starved desert in the north to the icy glaciers of the south. In between these two extremes is a land with beautiful lakes and forests, volcanoes, beaches, glaciers, fjords and some fine colonial buildings in pleasant cities and towns. It is a perfect country for both relaxing and some serious activities. Come with us, and discover the country´s charm.

Day 1 – Santiago de Chile
Reception at Santiago airport and transfer to hotel. In the afternoon, a visit to the most interesting sectors of the city: Main Square, Cathedral, La Moneda, Central Market, Santa Lucia Hill and San Francisco Church. Lodging.

Day 2 - Santiago – Calama (B)
Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to Santiago airport to begin the excursion to Atacama Desert. Reception at Calama airport and transfer to San Pedro de Atacama. In the afternoon, excursion to Moon Valley, to admire spectacular rock formations, Cordillera de la Sal, Death Valley, and the possibility of admiring a magnificent sunset. Return to San Pedro for lodging.

Day 3 - Atacama Desert (B)
Breakfast in hotel. Visit to the circular dwellings at Tulor and the defensive fortresses at Quitor. In the afternoon, visit to the Salar de Atacama, Los Flamencos National Reserve, Toconao, San Lucas church, Torre Campanario, Laguna Chaxas, to admire three out of the six different kinds of flamingos existing worldwide. Return to San Pedro in the late afternoon for lodging.

Day 4 – Atacama Desert - El Tatio Geysers(B)
Early in the morning, excursion to El Tatio Geysers, the world’s highest geyser field, which erupts each day at dawn, creating unusual mineral formations and spouting high clouds of steam. Trekking to observe various geothermal activities. Breakfast and opportunity to bathe in natural hot springs. Return to San Pedro. In the afternoon, visit to Cejar Lagoon, located in the heart of the Atacama Salt Flat, with such a high concentration of salt and lithium that it makes floating easier than on the Dead Sea. You may bathe, swim, and float amidst a beautiful landscape. Return to hotel. Overnight.

Day 5 - Calama - Santiago - Punta Arenas(B)

Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer to the Calama airport for flight to Punta Arenas, via Santiago. Reception at the Punta Arenas airport and transfer to the hotel. Overnight.

Day 6 - Punta Arenas - Puerto Natales (B)

Breakfast in the hotel. In the morning, we sail through the Magellan Strait towards Magdalena Island. Disembark on the island to interact with the largest colony of Magellan Penguins. Return to Punta Arenas. Afternoon transfer by bus service to Puerto Natales (250 km). Overnight.

Day 7 - Torres del Paine National Park (B, L)

Breakfast in hotel. Excursion to Torres del Paine National Park, part of the United Nations' World Biosphere Reserve System. Stop at the famous Milodon Cave, where well preserved remains of this prehistoric herbivore that lived there about 12,000 years ago have been found. Our journey will continue into the Torres del Paine itself where we will encounter beautiful lakes, lagoons and waterfalls. Lunch is included today. You may optionally take a cruise to the Gray glacier. Return to Puerto Natales and lodging.

Day 8 - Perito Moreno glacier (B, L)

This day after breakfast you will be driven to El Calafate in Argentina (320 km)to visit Perito Moreno glacier with box-lunch and entrance fees to National Park included. Due to unusually favourable local conditions, it is one of the few advancing glaciers in the planet. You will be highly impressed standing only a few metres away from its 60 to 80-metre-high walls. The deep blue colours of the ice and the shape of the glacier with all its small columns are unbelievable! But it is also an auditory experience, when huge icebergs on the face of the glacier calve and collapse into the lake. Lodging in Port Natales follows. Return to Puerto Natales and overnight (Optional: Overnight in El Calafate and the following day transfer by bus line to Puerto Natales, and bus line from Puerto Natales to Punta Arenas airport. In this case, transfer from hotel in El Calafate to bus terminal is not included).

Day 9 - Punta Arenas – Santiago (B)

Breakfast in hotel. Connection to Punta Arenas airport by local bus service. Flight back to Santiago. Transfer to hotel for overnight. You may optionally go out for Chilean folklore evening with dinner, to fully enjoy the last evening in Chile.

Day 10 - Santiago (B)

Breakfast in hotel. After that transfer to the airport for intercontinental flight. End of our services.
