Salvador is also known as “Brazil's capital of happiness” due to its easygoing population and countless popular outdoor parties, including its street carnival. The city is notable in Brazil for its cuisine, music and architecture, but not to forget, also for Capoeira which is a unique mix of dance and martial art of Afro-Brazilian origin, combining agile dance moves with unarmed combat techniques. Thanks to this package you can experience the real Brazilian life!
Day 1 – Salvador
After landing in Salvador you will be met by an English speaking tour guide at the airport and driven to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. You could relax on the beach or go for a walk in the city centre.
Day 2 – Salvador City Tour (B)
You will get the chance to discover Salvador City the second day after breakfast when you set off for a 4-hour-long city tour. You visit, amongst others, the famous Pelourinho, the old historic center of Salvador, which is a city within a city. Centered around the old slave auction, Pelourinho has pastel-hued buildings and cobblestoned streets. You will surely see the Capoeira dancers and Olodum players. And do not forget to enjoy the typical "baiana" cuisine with its local spices. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 3 – Salvador - “Island Tour” (B)
Today is planned as a full day tour. At 8am you will be transferred from the hotel to the terminal where you board a special boat with a tourist guide, bar and music. It goes through São Marcelo Fort, get a partial view of the city, All Saints Bay and the peninsular area. There is a visit to Frades Island where you stop for a swim. Then you continue to Itaparica Island (Ponta de Areia Beach), stopping again for swimming and lunch (optional). Return to the hotel is planned at 5.30pm.
Day 4 – Salvador - “Praia do Forte Tour” (B)
Soak up the beauty and colours of the beautiful Brazilian landscape on this full day trip from Salvador to Praia do Forte. It goes through Estrada do Coco (coconut Road) on the north seaside. We will see the
seashore on the Oceanic Avenue along to Itapuã Beach, Abaeté Lagoon (stopping to take
photos), Fort Beach (one of the most famous beaches in the area) where we visit Tamar Project. It is a turtle project dedicated to the continuous conservation of sea turtles. Finally, we stop at Guarajuba Beach to have a swim and lunch (optional). Find out exactly why Praia do Forte has been named the "Brazilian Polynesia". In the late afternoon return to the hotel.
Day 5 – Salvador – An Evening Show with Dinner (B, D)
This day is at leisure, there is no fixed program planned for you. But get ready for the evening! There is no better way to experience a city by night! See an authentic Afro-Brazilian culture show, enjoy a delicious dinner and be amazed at traditional forms of Capoeira - the fight, the game and the dance!
Day 6 – Departure (B)
We will take you after breakfast to the airport. End of our services.
