The Brazilians have their own explanation for the beauty of the city: God created the world in 7 days, two of them devoted to Rio. Set out for a journey to experience the real Brazilian lifestyle!
Day 1 – Rio de Janeiro
Arrival in Rio de Janeiro. You will be met by an English speaking tour guide at the airport. On the way to
your hotel on Copacabana or Ipanema beach, you will start experiencing the amazing natural beauty as you ride around Guanabara`s bay, through the Corcovado Mountain, by Rodrigo de Freitas` lagoon until you reach your hotel. The afternoon is free for you to relax on the beach or at the rooftop of your hotel, and start to get acquainted with this new life style.
Day 2 – Rio de Janeiro - Corcovado, Tijuca; Sao Conrado, Leblon, Ipanema beaches (B)
Get ready for a morning tour. You will be taken on a ride through the city to a 19th century train station to
go through Tijuca Forest, on a cogwheel train, to the top of Corcovado Mountain, to visit the statue of Christ
at 2,330 feet above sea level. From there, you will be able to see why people kindly say that God is a
Carioca (a local from Rio). After that, you will go to Sao Conrado`s beach to see the hang gliders land on the sand,
and after that you will ride along the beaches of Sao Conrado, Leblon, Ipanema and back to Copacabana. Freetime in the afternoon.
Day 3 – Rio de Janeiro (B)
Today you are free to explore the city on your own. Maybe you might want to go on an optional tour to the
famous Tropical Islands or to the historical Petropolis.
Day 4 – Rio de Janeiro - Sugar Loaf; Botafogo and Flamengo beaches (B)
This morning you can sleep in late. In the afternoon, you will be taken on a cable car ride to the top of Sugar
Loaf mountain to enjoy a panoramic view of Guanabara`s bay and the downtown of the city. Your sightseeing will
continue along Botafogo`s and Flamengo`s beaches until you reach the downtown area of Rio de Janeiro, where, amongst othre places,
you will visit the ultra modern Cathedral, the Sambodromo (Carnival`s dome).
Day 5 – Rio de Janeiro (B)
There is no fixed program today. Take Samba lessons or relax on the beach or take part in a football or volleyball match there, since they are played all day long from dawn till dusk. Overnight is in the hotel by the beach.
Day 6 – Rio de Janeiro (B)
There is no fixed program today. We can arrange some optional excursion or tour for you or you can take Samba lessons, relax on the beach or take part in a football or volleyball match there, since they are played all day long from dawn till dusk. Overnight is in the hotel by the beach.
Day 7 – Rio de Janeiro (B)
Another free day to enjoy the city, maybe go hang gliding, join a Favela tour, Jeep tour or simply go
shopping for some souvenirs.
Day 8 – Rio de Janeiro (B)
Time to say goodbye and we hope to see you back soon. We will take you to the airport in line with your schedule, so that you can continue with your travelling.
